چکیده
Abstract Repetitive negative thinking (RNT) may be defined as a reiterative, passive and uncontrollable process. RNT has been recognized transdiagnostic phenomenon associated with the onset maintenance of several clinical conditions including depression, generalised anxiety, psychosis insomnia. We aimed to estimate network model mutual associations between aforementioned indicators whilst controlling for other well-established factors (i.e. perceived stress, loneliness). A total 324 participants ( M age = 25.26 years, SD 6.89; 69.3% females) completed cross-sectional survey self-report questionnaires. Gaussian graphical was estimated using LASSO in combination extended Bayesian information criterion. found dense which exhibited substantial connections majority psychopathological domains. The centrality indices confirmed that one most important nodes network. Moreover, showed satisfactory accuracy stability. Findings emphasized potentially good therapeutic target psychopathology prevention treatment protocols.

The role of repetitive negative thinking as a transdiagnostic factor in predicting the severity of emotional disorders symptoms
Introduction: Emotional disorders which are to a great extent the result of the deviation of emotions from their normal course can grow and develop under the influence of transdiagnostic factors such as perfectionism, insomnia, emotional disregulation, rumination, and repetitive negative thoughts. The present study aimed to evaluate the contribution of Repetitive negative thinking to predict a ...
متن کاملRunning head: MEDIATORS OF REPETITIVE NEGATIVE THINKING Intolerance of uncertainty and negative metacognitive beliefs as transdiagnostic mediators of repetitive negative thinking in a clinical sample with anxiety disorders
This study aimed to replicate and extend a hierarchical model of vulnerability to worry, with neuroticism and extraversion as higher-order factors and negative metacognitions and intolerance of uncertainty as second-order factors. The model also included a transdiagnostic measure of repetitive negative thinking (RNT) and depression symptoms as outcome variables to determine whether relationship...
متن کاملPain Catastrophizing as Repetitive Negative Thinking: A Development of the Conceptualization
Pain catastrophizing is a well-known concept in the pain literature and has been recognized as one of the most powerful psychological determinants of negative outcomes for pain problems. However, relatively little effort has been put into developing its theoretical underpinnings. More specifically, the intrinsic function of catastrophizing is not explicitly dealt with in contemporary theoretica...
متن کاملPerseverative Thinking Questionnaire (PTQ): French Validation of a Transdiagnostic Measure of Repetitive Negative Thinking
Repetitive negative thinking (RNT) is a transdiagnostic process involved in the onset and maintenance of many psychological disorders. The Perseverative Thinking Questionnaire (Ehring et al., 2011) is a content-independent scale composed of 15 items that assesses RNT from a transdiagnostic perspective in both clinical and general populations. The aim of the current research was to translate and...
متن کاملThe Perseverative Thinking Questionnaire (PTQ): Validation of a content-independent measure of repetitive negative thinking
Repetitive negative thinking (RNT) has been found to be involved in the maintenance of several types of emotional problems and has therefore been suggested to be a transdiagnostic process. However, existing measures of RNT typically focus on a particular disorder-specific content. In this article, the preliminary validation of a content-independent self-report questionnaire of RNT is presented....
